Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st, 1995, in Berkeley California USA. She is an actress known as the actress behind Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she has herself taken up. She made her debut when she was only nine years old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni In 1988 she starred as the main character in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. In the year following, she played Nanni Moritti's baby in Red Wood Pigeon. Her professional career took off after she was cast as Nanni's daughter for the film Close Friends. Cannes International Film Festival was a great success for the film. The film was made with her father for the very the first time Trauma which was directed by the acclaimed Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favorite actress and she played an anorexic seeking to locate the killer of her parents. Asia's absorbed intense style of performing was well used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. She also costarred in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, in which she played Arianna who was a physical challenged woman. This role was complex and difficult, securing her the David di Donatello for the best actor. She was a part of Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio with Michel Piccoli and won the David di Donatello award and the Grolla d'oro. In 1994 Asia began the art of directing, and produced two short films as part of the series of the movie De Generazione In 1996 she made a documentary of her father. In 1998, another film on the cult director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which won an award at The Rome Film Festival. Asia was the director of her first film in Scarlet Diva (1999), in which she was the main actress in the film and the author of its screenplay. The film was released in May 20, 2000, both in Italy as well as around the globe. The film was awarded an award in Brooklyn's Williamsburg festival of film.
